Hey, I’m Stephanie.
Your choice candidate for Ward 2.

Values in Action
District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board
As Chair of the District of Sault Ste. Marie Social Services Administration Board (DSSAB), I’ve focused on practical, tangible improvements that directly support residents. I’ve advocated for and helped advance the expansion of licensed childcare spaces so more families can access stable, quality care for their children while fully participating in the community and local economy. I’ve supported the growth of community paramedicine programs that help seniors and vulnerable residents stay healthier and safer where they live. I’ve also been a strong voice for increasing affordable and deeply affordable housing options, and for supporting innovative local initiatives like the HART Hub in Sault Ste. Marie that connect people with services, supports, and community.
Economic Development Council of Ontario
In my economic development work, I’ve focused on making sure communities like ours are seen, heard, and supported. As the immediate past president of the Economic Developers Council of Ontario (EDCO), I’ve been a strong advocate for equal visibility and fair access to resources for Northern Ontario, pushing to ensure that provincial programs, investment attraction efforts, and policy conversations don’t stop at Highway 17. I’ve worked with partners across the province to highlight the strengths and opportunities of Northern communities, like our skilled workforce, strategic location, and growing sectors, while consistently pressing for the tools, funding, and infrastructure we need to compete and thrive on a level playing field.
10 Years in Northern Ontario Tourism
I bring more than a decade of experience in tourism and destination development, which has given me a deep appreciation for the small businesses that make our community unique. I understand how the many mom‑and‑pop tourism shops, restaurants, accommodations, and attractions don’t just support jobs; they expand our economic footprint and add real vibrancy to our streets and neighbourhoods. That experience has also reinforced for me that community, social, and economic development must walk hand in hand: we need strong services and supports, thriving local businesses, and welcoming public spaces if we want a community that is not only an attractive place to do business, but also a great place to visit and, most importantly, to live.

I’m committed to being accessible and keeping residents informed. If elected, I will maintain a dedicated social media page to share updates, highlight key issues, and report back on Council decisions in real time. I will also provide a monthly newsletter so constituents can see what I’m working on, what’s coming up at City Hall, and how to get involved. On top of that, I will make myself available directly by email and phone, because people deserve a councillor they can actually reach when they have questions, concerns, or ideas.
